Online Quran Classes for Kids in Ireland
What age can my child start?
From age 4. Ages 4–6 get shorter 15–20 minute play-based sessions; 7 and up typically move to 25–30 minute sessions.
We're not near Dublin's Muslim community — does that matter?
Not at all. Most of our families in Cork, Galway, and Limerick book us for exactly this reason. Your child gets the same Al-Azhar-trained teacher a family in Clonskeagh or Blanchardstown would have access to, wherever you're based.
How is the price worked out?
There's no fixed package — you choose the number of sessions per week and the length of each one, and your price is built around that choice. Sibling discounts are available, and you'll see your exact plan and price before committing to anything.
Do you have female teachers for my daughter?
Yes. We have qualified female teachers (Hafidhat with Ijazah), and many parents specifically request one for their daughters.
My child doesn't speak Arabic at home — will that be a problem?
No — it's the normal starting point for most of our students in Ireland. We teach Arabic letter sounds phonetically, so your child doesn't need to understand Arabic to learn to read the Quran.
Can lessons fit around Junior Cert and Leaving Cert study?
Yes. Many secondary students keep a short, light session going right through exam years, and it's just as easy to pause for a few weeks around the exams themselves and pick back up straight after.
Are classes one-to-one or in a small group?
Always one-to-one — a single child per teacher per session, never a shared small group. That's what allows genuinely personalised pronunciation correction.
For children starting from scratch with no Arabic reading ability — the usual starting point for most households in Ireland.

Why Families Across Ireland Choose Alhamd Academy
"Our child's week is already full with school, GAA, and homework — where does this fit?"
Into a single 15–30 minute slot you choose yourself, before school, after training, or at the weekend — not a fixed Saturday-morning class that competes with everything else.
"How do we know the teacher is actually qualified?"
Every teacher at Alhamd Academy is Al-Azhar-certified — graduates of the world's most established Islamic university, not freelance tutors picked from an open marketplace.
"We're already careful about how much time our child spends on a screen."
A 20–30 minute live video session with a real teacher correcting your child's recitation isn't comparable to passive screen time — it's closer to a music lesson.
"Can we pause during Junior Cert or Leaving Cert study weeks?"
Yes — just let your teacher know and sessions pause or shift around exams, mid-terms, and the summer holidays, and you pick back up afterwards without losing your place.
- Ireland's Muslim community is concentrated around Dublin, with smaller, more spread-out communities in Cork, Galway, and Limerick — meaning a qualified children's Quran teacher within driving distance is genuinely scarce outside the capital. For many of these families, the obstacle to Quran education isn't willingness, it's access.
- Between a long school day — Catholic-patronage, Educate Together, or Gaelscoil — GAA training, and the pressure of the State Examinations in later years, there's rarely a free evening left over for a weekly drive to a Saturday class. Online, one-to-one learning fits into a single slot you choose, rather than adding a commute on top of an already full week.
- The Noor Al-Bayan method our teachers use was built precisely for children who don't yet read Arabic, which describes most families we work with — whatever language is spoken at home. Every teacher at Alhamd Academy is Al-Azhar-certified — a real, verifiable credential from the world's most established Islamic university — which matters for a subject where correct pronunciation and understanding genuinely shape how a child comes to know their faith.
How We Teach Children With No Prior Arabic Reading
- Ireland's Muslim community is concentrated around Dublin — Clonskeagh, Blanchardstown, Tallaght — alongside smaller, more spread-out communities in Cork, Galway, and Limerick, where a qualified children's Quran teacher within driving distance is genuinely hard to find.
- Between a Gaelscoil or Educate Together school day, GAA training, and homework, there's rarely a free evening left for a long drive to a Saturday class. Alhamd Academy gives your child a private, one-to-one teacher instead, at a 15–30 minute slot that fits around school rather than competing with it.
- This is built to complement your local mosque or Quran school, not replace it. Many of our families in Ireland use us for focused, one-to-one reading and Tajweed correction alongside their child's regular Saturday-school attendance, so the two reinforce each other rather than compete for the same hour.
- Our Noor Al-Bayan phonetic method was built precisely for children who don't read Arabic yet, whatever language is spoken at home — it teaches letter and sound recognition through demonstration and repetition, not long verbal explanation.
- Every teacher is Al-Azhar-certified, not a freelance tutor picked from an open marketplace. Pricing is flexible, not a fixed package: you choose the number of sessions a week and how long each one runs, and you'll see your exact plan and price before committing to anything.

I started from zero — couldn't even read Arabic letters. Now I read Quran fluently thanks to the Noor Al-Bayan method. The teachers are incredibly patient and make every lesson enjoyable!
